HOW TO PLAY: Most objects in the game have a hover tool tip! Use weapon cards to fight creatures. When creatures are low, capture them with the capture card. Once captured, those creatures are added to your deck. After the fight, you gain rewards. Click on the reward card to add it to your deck. The other rewards are automatically added. In the inventory you can combine creature cards with weapon cards using the arcane table. Creature cards do much more damage. The more you use a creature card, the more their insubordination meter increases. If their meter reaches max, they will escape from your deck and join the fight against you. Use the whip in the inventory screen to make them more submissive and avoid them escaping. Each fight changes time. Time cards are added to your deck at the beginning of the fights. Use their passives to your advantage. Time stones will change the next fights time of day. Can you escape the wizard's tower?

Tortured Tower is a rogue like deck builder with creature capturing and submission mechanics. Escape from the evil wizard's tower capturing creatures to fight for you during your descent down the spiral staircase. The more you use your creatures the more they want escape, so whip them into submission... Literally! Combine creatures with their favorite weapons to deal extra damage. Depending on what time of day it is, you might encounter some strange effects from tarot inspired time cards. Can you make it to the bottom?!

We chose to incorporate all 3 Wildcards, one room (spiral staircase), love the sun (time cards with passive effects), enemies and allies switch sides (capture creatures to use but don't let them escape or you will fight them again).

NOTE: There are a couple pesky bugs in the game. The largest one being sometimes cards don't allow themselves to be played... oops. combining cards works for the first time after battle. But then the weapon card sprites get out of sync with the database entries. So only do one combination after each fight to lessen confusion! Thanks for playing!!

It seems that you have to activate sharedArrayBuffer in your gamePage settings. The game cannot be played in the browser.

Sorry you had issues! That option is enabled and I've been able to play the game, same as others. Are you using chrome? I had issues on safari.
